Hot News!!
7/10/2010: As we have done for several years now, we are also planning some pre-Gathering workshop options for early arrivals in 2011. Details will be posted as soon as they are available but both Cathy Britell (beginners) and Jo Ann Smith (Intermediate) will present nine hours of small group instruction on Tuesday and Wednesday of MLAG week. A full schedule, pricing, and additional information will be included in our 2011 registration packet.
7/10/2010: Our 20th Anniversary Gathering is now history but what a time we had! We reckon there were nearly 370 people who came through the doors including full registrants, non-participating spouses, day trippers, and evening concert goers. The Parade of Former Mountain Laurel Autoharp Champions was a spectacular success and all our concerts were memorable. Thanks to everybody who came out for the fun. There are now links to photos from the 2010 Gathering on our Photo Album page. You can also order copies of the 2010 Autoharp Contest CD set -- hopefully available by 1 October -- and -- while they last -- the 20th Anniversary 2-disc DVD compilation. We're busy making plans for 2011 which we hope will be every bit as wonderful. Make your plans now!
7/10/2010: If you are thinking about coming to the 2011 Gathering but a lack of funding is making it tough, consider applying for a Mary Lou Orthey Scholarship.
4/2/2010: Plans for the 2011 Autoharp Cruise have been formalized. Don your tropical shirts and join the jamming circle. We're bringing all acoustic musicians together for a week of WORKSHOPS (autoharp and mt. dulcimer), CONCERT, nightly all-instrument JAMMING and a boatload of fun and camaraderie in the sunny western Carribean. Detailed information and booking instructions. If you're wondering how much fun it's going to be, you can see photos from the 2010 Autoharp Cruise and Dulcimer Cruise to the Eastern Caribbean!
